What is your photographic style?
My style of photography includes a combination of traditional and lifestyle portraits. I will aim to pose your family, but the ultimate goal is to capture real candid moments.
How will I receive my final edited images?
Your final images will be delivered to you via email through an online gallery. From the gallery you will download your custom edited high-resolution digital images. You may share the gallery with anyone you’d like download the images as well. You also have the option of ordering professional prints, at a low cost, right from the gallery if you choose to.
What kind of editing is done to final images?
My photographic style extends beyond the camera. There are a million different ways to edit images these days and my warm, clean and vibrant editing is a huge part of my style. Final edits will include color and light balance, removal of distracting objects, and minor skin blemishes. These edits are complimentary and applied to every image you choose for your final gallery.
How do I choose a location?
After your session is booked a preparation guide that includes location suggestions will be emailed to you. We will collaborate to ensure the best location is selected for your family. Of course if you have a place in mind that is not listed in the guide that is no problem. I love discovering new places to photograph!
I’m afraid my children will not cooperate. How would you handle this?
If your children are under the age of 10 it is very likely they won’t cooperate willingly, so it’s best to just come to terms with that now! Let go of any expectations you have of your children sitting still, looking right into the camera and giving their best smile. The harder you push for this the less likely it's going to happen. I was a teacher for 12 years and have two energetic boys of my own. I've seen it all! Don't try and force your kids into cooperating, this will only create more resistance. Just relax and let them be kids! Your preparation guide includes a section on preparing your children and how to get the best results.
When should I book a session?
Weekends tend to fill up several months in advance, so as soon as possible. If you’re not able to schedule that far out please contact me, I may have a last minute opening or room to work you into the schedule.
