Be still my heart. I cannot get over those big brown eyes and all of that beautiful hair! The goal of a newborn session is to keep the baby asleep. Parents can follow all of my suggestions in the newborn photography prep guide and there is still no guarantee that their baby is going to be sleepy.  Typically this is not a good scenario, but for this adorable little man it worked in our favor for sure! I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to keep your newborn awake for photos.  A sleepy baby is a posable baby, but there are always the rare exceptions!

Photographing newborns is not as easy as it looks.  It requires lots of patience, technique, and experience. When you add siblings to the mix things can get a bit tricky, but I am always up for a  challenge! Kids are so unpredictable and I was ready with my bag of tricks when big brother walked into the studio. Turns out I didn't need them. He was so calm and sweet with his baby sister. This is definitely not the norm, so don't feel bad if your older children were not as cooperative. Here's some advice I give my parents before a session with kids, don't worry about them acting crazy and just come to turns with the fact that they most definitely will. Ha! Keep expectations low and you never know, they just may surprise you!
