One of the best parts about being a newborn photographer is getting to know so many amazing families! I first met this sweet family when I photographed their first child’s newborn portraits, 3 month portraits, 6 month portraits, 1 year portraits and fall family portraits! Now they are back as a family of five with twins! Every day I am grateful to do what I love and bring happiness and joy into people’s lives. They bring just as much into mine.

Aren’t these twin newborn babies just the sweetest? I love that Mom and Dad brought in some items that had special meaning. Those cute bowties the babies are wearing belonged to their grandfathers which each are named after. The cowboy hat, buckle and bolo tie were warn by their dad at his wedding! These newborn portraits will be cherished by so many for years!

I had the honor of photographing big sister for her maternity and newborn portraits and now I am thrilled to be photographing her baby sister! Ideally we want newborns to be nice and sleeping during their portraits, but sometimes I get babies in the studio who are wide awake, but happy for part of their portrait session! When that happens (which is a rarity) you get the best of both worlds!

This little man sure did love snuggling his teddybear during his newborn portrait session! He did such a good job staying asleep during his portraits. The best time for posed newborn photography is within the first 2 weeks of the baby’s birth. This is when they are most sleepy and posable!
