This session was an absolute dream to photograph. A beautiful family of four gathered in our studio near Richmond, VA to welcome their newest addition, a precious baby girl who stole everyone’s hearts from the very first frame. Big brother was the definition of adorable in his white cable knit sweater and jeans, already showing off his big kid pride as he stood by his dad’s side and snuggled close to his new sister. Mom glowed in a stunning ribbed cream dress, and the whole family radiated that warm, tender energy that only a brand new baby can bring.

One of our favorite parts of any newborn session is capturing the whole family together. In our studio portraits against the warm taupe backdrop, we photographed mom and dad standing tall with their son holding Dad’s hand and little sister nestled safely in Mom’s arms, a moment that says everything about what this family is: strong, loving, and complete. We also captured Dad lifting big brother high while Mom cradled the baby, a joyful, laughter filled pose that shows the beautiful chaos of like with two little ones.
The sibling shots on the fluffy cream rug were some of the most heartwarming images from the session. Big brother beamed with pride as his tiny sister slept peacefully beside him, one arm gently draped over her swaddled body. These are the photos you frame and hang above the fireplace. Baby girl was an absolute natural in front of the camera! We photographed her in several gorgeous setups, each one more beautiful than the last. In a sage green swaddle nestled in a wicker basket surrounded by soft pink florals and lavender sprigs, she was the picture of spring serenity, eyes wide open and taking in the whole world. When we dressed her in a delicate lavender ruffle wrap with a handcrafted floral crown, placing her in a vintage white crate filled with fluffy white fur and fresh purple florals for a truly enchanting garden fairy look. Finally, we finished with a bold, show stopping all red setup for a portrait that is pure drama and elegance.
