Cold, rain and now wind!?! This has been one crazy spring in the great RVA which makes outdoor photography a little tricky, but nothing I can't handle! The day of Kyle's maternity session was beautiful. No rain, not too hot, not too cold, one might say it would have been the perfect day for a maternity session if it wasn't for the darn wind! Holy Cow, it was blowing pretty fierce and being along the reservoir made it that much worse!

It's been seven years since my family and I relocated to the Richmond VA area and in that time I have discovered so many beautiful parks through photography. It was only two years ago though that I realized I didn't have to travel very far because only 5 minutes from my home was this little hidden gem known as Mid-Lothian Mines Park.

It was a perfect evening for this outdoor maternity session right outside of Richmond Virginia. I was fortunate to get to spend this beautiful night with a wonderful and loving family while they prepare to welcome the newest addition to the family who scheduled to arrive on May 8, 2015. I cannot wait to meet and photograph him or her!
