Sarah Kane Photography LLC Terms & Conditions

Payment & Cancellation

A non-refundable retainer fee is required to reserve your date. This fee secures your appointment on the calendar.
If a client cancels or does not attend their session, no refund will be issued.

Rescheduling is subject to Sarah Kane Photography LLC’s availability. Sessions rescheduled with less than one weeks’ notice will require a $75 fee to reschedule.

Late Arrival Policy

Late arrivals will shorten your session and may result in fewer images than the number included with your session if there is not enough time or sufficient variety of quality images to choose from. No refund will be issued in this case.

Clients arriving 25 minutes late will need to extend their session time for an additional fee of $50 per 30 minutes (based on Sarah Kane’s availability).

Clients arriving 40 minutes late or more will be considered a no-show. The session will be canceled, and no refund will be issued. To reschedule, the client must reschedule online and pay a new retainer fee along with an additional $75 cancellation fee.

Image Selection & Delivery

Clients will select final images from a proofing gallery of unedited images curated by Sarah Kane Photography LLC.
Only final, edited images that are purchased will be made available for download.
Unedited proofs will not be downloadable or released.

Due to the organic nature of photography—especially with young children—specific poses or images cannot be guaranteed. Sarah Kane Photography LLC will always strive to deliver a beautiful gallery within the natural flow of the session.

Turnaround Times

Proofs will be delivered in approximately 7 business days from the session date.
Final edited images will be delivered approximately 7 business days after Sarah Kane Photography LLC receives your selections.

All timelines are subject to change depending on Sarah Kane Photography LLC’s workload.

Rush Delivery Options:

1 business day turnaround – additional fee applies

3 business day turnaround – additional fee applies

Rush delivery applies to both proofs and final images.
If a session ends after 4:00 p.m., or if final selections are submitted after 4:00 p.m., the next business day begins the following morning.

Gallery Expiration Policy

The client’s proofing gallery and final gallery will each have an expiration date.

If the client fails to select or download images before expiration, a $50 reactivation fee will extend the gallery for one (1) additional year.

Final selections must be made at least two weeks before the gallery expiration to allow time for editing.

Once a gallery expires, Sarah Kane Photography LLC cannot guarantee retrieval of images.
Images are retained for up to 1 year, but Sarah Kane Photography LLC is not responsible for any loss after expiration of the gallery.

Client Responsibility for Digital Images

Upon delivery of digital images, the client assumes full responsibility for storing and safeguarding all files.
Sarah Kane Photography LLC is not responsible for lost, deleted, or damaged images and is not obligated to replace them.

Clients are strongly encouraged to back up all files in multiple locations and refresh backups every six months.

Editing & Additional Fees

All final images include standard retouching for color, exposure, skin smoothing, minor blemish removal, teeth whitening, small hair cleanup, and minimal object removal (at the discretion of Sarah Kane Photography LLC).

Additional retouching requests are subject to an hourly fee.
Examples of edits not included (but not limited to) are: wrinkled clothing, dirty clothing/shoes/faces, band-aids, tattoos, makeup corrections, or significant object removal.

Copyright & Usage Rights

All images remain the exclusive copyrighted property of Sarah Kane Photography LLC.
Sarah Kane Photography LLC retains the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish images of all parties included for editorial, trade, advertising, or promotional purposes, in any medium, without restriction.

Privacy Request

If you wish to keep your images private, please write “KEEP IMAGES PRIVATE” in your photo release or email request.

Liability Release

By paying the session/retainer fee and booking a session, the client agrees to waive and release Sarah Kane Photography LLC and all associated representatives from any and all claims related to injury, illness, or property damage arising out of or in connection with the session.
