There is something so incredibly special about a baby’s first year. The tiny fingers that curl around yours, the wide eyes discovering the world for the first time, the belly laughs that come out of nowhere, and then, just like that, they turn one. At Sarah Kane Photography in Chesterfield Virginia, we had the absolute joy of celebrating this milestone with one very sweet little girl, and these images are nothing short of stunning.
There is something incredibly special about photographing a family through every season of their story. I first met the parents of these sweet boys years ago when I photographed their wedding, and since then I’ve had the honor of capturing their growing family—from their first pregnancy through their baby’s first year, their pregnancy with these twins, their newborn session, and now their 1 year portraits.
There is something truly magical about a baby’s first year. The way they go from that tiny, sleepy newborn bundle to a curious, laughing, almost toddler who is suddenly on the move and taking the world by storm. This girl’s mama knew she wanted to capture this milestone in a way that was as sweet and beautiful as her little girl, and we could not have had more fun making that happen.
