The tiny fingers that curl around yours, the wide eyes discovering the world for the first time, the belly laughs that come out of nowhere, and then, just like that, they turn one. At Sarah Kane Photography in Chesterfield Virginia, we had the absolute joy of celebrating this milestone with one very sweet little girl, and these images are nothing short of stunning.

There is something incredibly special about photographing a family through every season of their story. I first met the parents of these sweet boys years ago when I photographed their wedding, and since then I’ve had the honor of capturing their growing family—from their first pregnancy through their baby’s first year, their pregnancy with these twins, their newborn session, and now their 1 year portraits.

One year of giggles, cuddles, and pure joy. This happy little one’s smile could light up the whole world. What a beautiful way to celebrate the first trip around the sun.
