This winter maternity session at Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia is a beautiful reminder that colder months can offer some of the most timeless, refined portraits. With tall trees lining quiet paths and the park’s iconic stone architecture as a backdrop, Maymont provides a peaceful setting that feels intimate and grounded—perfect for maternity photography.

For this session, we focused on simplicity and intention. The wooded path allowed space to slow down, creating images that feel calm and connected. The neutral tones of winter paired effortlessly with the soft white styling, keeping the attention on the expecting mother and the season she’s stepping into.

The white gown, flowing cloak, and floral crown seen in these images are all part of my client wardrobe and are included in full maternity sessions. I personally own these pieces and thoughtfully select them to photograph beautifully in natural light while providing comfort and ease for my clients.
